I agree

Yes, it is correct! Your criteria are very good and scores a couple of items that should be keep in mind when choosing a video for learning... Elena Rusu

criteria for selecting educationally suitable video clips

I agree with you.
I would like to add:
The video should have
clear and legible captions.

I think that the three most important points are:
• If the video motivated the students to critical thinking, discussion and work team (encourage collaboration)
• target group (age) and students’ interests
• Encourage students creativity

A fair use of video in lesson

A fair use of video in lesson will involve balancing other factors, including:
- the nature of the work,
- the amount used,
- the effect of the use on the concrete work.
Also, the video must be confident and suitable for the educational environment.
The chosen video must be suitable for the educatonal goals and for the purposes of analysis.
It should be not too long and not at all difficult.
The message of the film should be clearly and easily perceived by the students, acording to their age and disponibility for learning.

What video is the best?

In my opinion, to choose a video lesson we need to keep in mind several criteria: • What kind of lesson is: for learning, training or evaluating ; think about the purpose of the learning, the goals you want students to achieve, • target group (age) and what their interests are • The length of the video (max 5 minutes) • Video need to be simple, short, with music and good quality • if video gives the information we consider necessary and basic. • If we need another educational tools.or another activities related to video • If the video motivated the students to critical thinking, discussion and work team (encourage collaboration) • Encourage students creativity What do you think?
